The Circus is Here!
A circus theme for a kids’ party is a great idea. You can do it pretty much anywhere, indoors, outdoors or in a rented hall, the possibilities are endless. Here are a few tips and ideas to get you started.
Invitations
Design invitations that look like tickets. An example would be a big stub of any color that reads “ADMIT ONE” to “Brandon’s Birthday Party.” On the back of the ticket, put the party details like time, location and date. Send these invitations in circus themed cards and the like.
Loot Bags & Favors
Carnival prizes are pretty easy to find. It pays to visit amusement parks and ask about wholesale carnival prizes. You can even get them at great deals online! When the kids are done playing games, give each of them a gift bag filled with the goodies. That way, everybody’s a “winner”.
Menu
Food is no problem, as you have a variety of carnival food to choose from! Start with the classics like Hot Dogs, Apples in Caramel, Pop Corn and of course, Cotton Candy. You can also put up a corner table filled with animal crackers and biscuits. If you have some extra cash to spare, you can rent popcorn machines or cotton candy machines. These come at a reasonable price, it just takes a bit of searching.
What you really need to Get Started
With circus themed parties, you have plenty of options to choose from. The important thing is that you tap the inner child within you and let your imagination run wild.
