RV Funs Comes at a Price
Recreational vehicles are a blast to own. Unfortunately, all that exposure to the elements can slowly damage the vehicle over time. If you need RV roof repair and maintenance, don’t fret. You don’t need to spend a ton of cash since you can do it yourself.
Tips
Here are a few things to consider when dealing with your RV’s roof.
- If your RV has a large roof, will more than likely need a power washer.
- After the washer, use a street broom to clean the area until the roof is white or the original color.
- Use a floor cleaner
- Clean the oil and grease first before doing actual cleaning of your RV roof.
Tools
When cleaning an RV, you need to have the right stuff along with you. And no, I’m not talking about guts.
- Get a roller, it does a good job of rolling on and making the adhesive flow
- Use sandpaper for the roof surface or a drill motor with a wire disc for larger areas
- Get the basic stuff – a utility knife, scissors, and a scraper.
Sometimes, Pro is the Way to Go
If the job is too big to handle though, don’t be embarrassed to ask for professional help. The tips above are only a means to save money, if you work on a very advanced job without experience, you’ll only end up wasting your money.
